OBITUARY

MR E. DE C. DRURY

Mr Ernest de Courcy Drury, who died yesterday at his residence, 17 Hewitt's road, Merivale, Christchurch. was the fourth son of the late Major General George Drury Royal Marine Light Infantry, of Plymouth, England. Mr Drury came to New Zealand in 1880. and qualified as a surveyor practising his profession at Hamilton, and subsequently at Invercargill and Christchurch, until his retirement in 1930. He married, in 1893 Miss Nellie Kathleen Sandes, a daughter of Mr Robert Fitzmaurice Sandes, of Hamilton, and is survived by his widow, three sons, Messrs G. G. de C. Drury, of Kakamega, Kenya Colony, E. O'Brien Drury, of Westland Station, Queensland, Australia, and C. G. de C. Drury, of Ashburton, ana two daughters Mrs H. H. Tribe and Miss Joan Kathleen Drury, of Christchurch.
